In Tanzania, 11.2% of children aged 7 and older have a disability. In the Arusha region, this is nearly 10%. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), children in rural areas in particular often lack access to rehabilitation, therapy, and assistive devices. For many families, the journey to the Sibusiso rehabilitation center in Arusha is too far, too difficult, and too expensive.

That is why we are launching the ‘Winnie’s Truck’ campaign. Winnie is a spirited 90-year-old lady who lived near the Sibusiso center for many years. For many years, she has worked tirelessly on fundraising through her organization ‘Help to Help’. On her initiative, this organization is now contributing to this special campaign for an additional vehicle: every euro donated will be doubled by Help to Help.

With Winnie’s Truck, we aim to purchase an additional truck so that our therapists and healthcare providers can travel to the villages with all the necessary equipment. In this way, we bring therapy, assistive devices, guidance, and hope directly to the children and their families. This allows us to reach many more children than is currently possible.

We aim to raise €25,000 for the purchase and outfitting of the truck. Thanks to the doubling campaign by Help to Help, this can grow into an impressive amount of €50,000.
