In Tanzania, quality assistive devices are difficult to obtain and are usually not available through an organization or shop. Therefore, these devices are custom-made by the three carpenters in the center’s workshop. Together with the physiotherapists, they develop devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, standing boards, special chairs, and corner chairs. These devices support therapy, help the child become more mobile, and thereby increase contact with other children.
