Many children with disabilities do not receive the care they need because the center is too far away, there is no transport, or there are no funds. In June, Martha visited the Netherlands to meet with sponsors, partners, and the board. She presented the new Strategic Plan, which focuses on a key ambition: helping even more children with disabilities.

Since 2008, Anton van Doornmalen and his band have been making music where all concert proceeds fully benefit Sibusiso. Today marks the introduction of the Generation Song, which he performs together with his daughter Anke and granddaughter Lieke.

We have started a new group at the Sibusiso Center with 30 children and their parents/caregivers. In addition to therapy, we also offer a new perspective. Because every child deserves a chance to grow!

Last week, we conducted an important training session at the Sibusiso center. In the Knowledge Center, 62 teachers from various schools were present to participate in training for children with developmental challenges.

The new Strategic Plan 2026-2030 is now available. In it, Sibusiso outlines our commitment to working towards inclusion and strong communities in the coming years.

On March 13, we celebrated International Women’s Day in Arusha together with mothers, young people, and the partners of Sibusiso. It was a day for the powerful stories of the mothers.

In January, the new group of boys started the Social Skills Program. They are training to return to their own communities in 6 months and become self-reliant.

Speaking of unequal opportunities! Muthadir was refused admission to two schools. Thanks to Sibusiso’s efforts, he has taken a wonderful step and can play with his peers again!

In January, we welcomed a group of 18 children and their mothers for the 7-week program. They have enthusiastically started again and will stay at the center in Arusha for 7 weeks.

In December, the Sibusiso Foundation in Arusha virtually completed the strategic plan, and in 2026 we will start with new plans for children with disabilities in Tanzania.

Music and dance play an important role for the children of Sibusiso. Music brings joy, connects people, and provides energy. That is why Anton gives benefit concerts in Germany and the Netherlands

Sibusiso celebrated 25 years of therapy for children in Tanzania: inspiring speakers, music, and a hopeful outlook on the future.

At the end of August, we welcomed 29 new children to the center. They are following the 7-week and 6-month programs. This brings plenty of energy back to the center.

The ceremony marking the conclusion of programs is not just a farewell, but a celebration of possibilities, resilience, and new chapters for all families.

We are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year. We are proud of the center; it looks today just as it was built 25 years ago. A place that provides safety and ensures a movement of hope and change.
