Persiana learns social skills from teacher Nelson As a teacher at Sibusiso, Nelson is responsible for the Social Skills Program. For him, Persiana Obadiah is one of his best practice examples. Upon entering eight years ago, Persiana was in a bad condition.
On June 30, 2023, there was a very successful celebration of the graduation of 30 children who completed the three-month program. These children, aged 14 to 20, have completed a social program and/or vocational training. The party was celebrated with no fewer than 450 parents, carers and the Sibusiso team. Guests of honor at the ceremony included Akheri Ward Councilor, Meru District Council Social Welfare Officer and the Nguruma Village Chairman and Njeku Village Chief.
We are proud that on June 27th. the Knowledge Centre – after a construction period of one and a half years – has been completed. At the completion in Arusha, Anton van Doornmalen was present on behalf of the Dutch board but also a number of members of the Foundation in Arusha.
